Is your Website SEO Friendly

When you look at websites in general it really is surprising just how many websites are not geared up to be good buddies with the search engines. Having a website that is search engine friendly is crucial for being found when people search the internet and ultimately for getting that all important visitor to your site. So, how do you know if your site is the search engines friend? Here are just a few things to consider:
Flash - If you have a Flash website then you could really be hindering your chances of appearing in the search engines. Flash sites may look amazing but what is the point of having an amazing looking website if no one can find it? Because of the way Flash works, the search engines can have trouble indexing the content and so may ignore your site completely.
Site Map - Does your site have a Site Map? If it doesn't then you need to consider getting one now. Having a site map will allow the search engines to easily access all of the pages within your site.
Keywords in your Page Titles - If your keywords are not included in your Page Titles, the search engines are going to have difficulty finding your pages. The page titles are used in much the same way as the index of a book. If your keywords are not there when the search is performed, your pages are not going to count.
Keywords in your Content - Are you focusing the content of your web pages around your keywords? Search engines index the content of your pages too so including your keywords is a must.
Having a search engine friendly site is going to have a dramatic effect on just how much business you receive via the internet so you really need to get it right
